Intro Books

These books should be the first place you look as you try to understand whether Christianity might be true or not. They give you a good general overview of how experts look at the question: Is there any reason to believe in Christianity? All of these books are good for both individual reading or discussion in a small group.

Once you have read these, you will be ready for the intermediate books.

 

The Case for Christ - by Lee Strobel

If you’re beginning your journey of looking for truth, this is a good place to start. Can we trust what the Bible says about Jesus? Did he really rise from the dead? Or, was he just crazy? This book has sold over 5 million copies and was made into a movie. It’s definitely worth your time.


 

The Case for Faith - by Lee Strobel

If you need answers to some of the most difficult objections to Christianity, this is a good place to start. Strobel interviews experts in each of the subjects this book covers, and yet it reads like a story. There is a reason Strobel’s books are so popular with people trying to understand what Christianity is all about.


 

Tactics - by Greg Koukl

This book focuses on helping you have good conversations with people. It can be really frustrating to want to talk with someone but not really know how to go about doing it. There are, however, good ways to have open conversations with people without feeling awkward or appearing like you’re trying to argue with them. This book teaches you how.
